BEML, formerly Bharat Earth Movers Limited, will deliver听seven BH150E 136听tonne and听eight BH205E 186 tonne听trucks under a trial and听sale deal along with an eight-year spare parts contract.
Coal India will deploy the vehicles at the subsidiary-run听Gevra, Amlohri and听Nigahi projects.
The trucks are being manufactured at BEML's Mysore complex in Karnataka state.
The company said the products addressed a听growing demand for higher capacity equipment in India's mining industry, which has been dominated by 100t-class trucks as well as tipper trucks.
BEML said: "These trucks have eco-friendly emissions certificate engines with electronic fuel management system to deliver maximum power. Its wide body design, higher metric capacity and low body weight ensures high stability and productivity. A state-of-the-art AC drive system have been engineered to provide exceptional road performance with reduced maintenance."
Both the BH150E and听BH205E trucks are fitted with听Wabtec AC electric drive systems.
